Steps to Confidence

Building confidence is a necessary exercise for many of us. If self-confidence does not come naturally, building it up takes deliberate, conscious effort. While no step-by-step program is perfect, the following are some steps that may help you build up your sense of confidence.

Having confidence is not easy for everyone, and even those you think have it easy do not have it easy! One thing you must remember is that just because something appears easy to someone else, doesn’t make it easy.

Some people are better at presenting things as “easy” than others, but we all have to work hard to fight those negative thought patterns we get from time to time. Confidence can be hit when a relationship fails, a goal fails, a situation doesn’t go the way we expected.

Confidence is such a tricky and fragile thing but once you learn how to do some mindset training? It gets a little easier to control. The older you get, the more experiences you have, the more time you spend on training yourself to be confident – the easier it will e to stop those negative thought patterns and feel awesome about yourself no matter what life tosses at you!

Goals

Write them down. Make a list of your goals, long and short term, and then below each goal write the steps it will take to get there. For example, if one of your goals is to launch a website to earn money, your list might look like this:

Launch Website
a. Reserve domain
b. Set up hosting
c. Contact web designer and discuss layout
d. Write a short ebook as a promotional giveaway
e. Write content and newsletters for site to cover several months after launch

Whether it’s relationships, business ventures, or self-improvement, writing your goals and their necessary steps can make those goals much less formidable and much more doable. That alone helps you feel more confident in moving forward.

Stop Comparing

While it’s good to have aspirations toward self-improvement, constantly comparing yourself to the best of the best in your realm can get discouraging. For example, if you’d like to have a talk radio show or Podcast, you might be inspired by high-profile radio hosts; being inspired by them is fine, but beating yourself up because you are not exactly like they are – complete with millions of listeners – will only discourage you.

Build a Positive Self-Image

It seems that when you are just certain you are going to fail before you try something, you are more likely to fail when you do try it. If you have a negative self-image and think you just can’t achieve anything, it’s likely that you won’t – thus underscoring this false impression about yourself. Stop listening to the negative inner voice and instead tell yourself that you can achieve your goals and, even if you fail, it’s not because you are a bad person or because you didn’t try.

Get to Know Yourself

This means spending some quiet time thinking or writing in a journal – some quiet time by yourself in which you assess your strengths, weaknesses, and personality. What are your character traits? What quirks and talents do you have? Pretend like you are being interviewed and that the interviewer is trying to get to know you. What questions would they ask?

Turn off the Media

For a while, it might be good to turn off the TV and put down the magazines. The perfect-people images found in the media can be discouraging for those who are struggling with self-confidence.

Tips That Will Transform Your Money Mindset

Money mindset refers to your attitude and perception towards the finances in your life. The way you view money says a lot about your inner self, about how satisfied you are with your wealth or how you see yourself financially in the future.

Unfortunately, there are several people out there who own a negative mindset about money. They believe that in order to survive in today’s society, one has to have debt. They believe that they’ll never be able to progress financially, more so that they’ll never be wealthy.

The problem is that people aren’t usually willing to challenge their money mindset, and so they keep struggling to improve their financial situation. No matter what beliefs engulf you, there are several ways to help you achieve a positive and healthy money mindset that will lead you towards financial security.

These will help you analyze your assumption about money and notice the factors that have been chaining you from growth.

Let go of the past

Our beliefs and behavior patterns around money are not our conscious choice. We have simply picked them up in the past and kept them going all lives without questioning them. You might have been living on the belief that you’d always live paycheck to paycheck or that debt is a necessary tool of life, but these beliefs are not true, neither are they serving you any good.

So, let go of your past, forgive yourself for blindly recreating the patterns of illusion that have kept you stuck. You can practice this by writing down all the memories that have influenced inflicting the thought pattern.

Now read all of the points, forgive yourself for practicing them, and detach yourself from the memories. Everything that was obscuring you has been erased; you’re free to build your career again, walking in new footsteps.

Identify your needs

This is the one question that can help you figure out the money mindset you own and how you can change it. Most people tend to keep thinking about getting a million dollars from a source but do you think how you would use it or where would you spend it?

The more important question is, why do you need a million dollars to get started with your goal in the first place?

You can start right now by just holding yourself fiscally responsible.

Notice where your money flows and see if it’s even worthy of being prioritized. If you have a goal, then dictate your finances to achieve that instead of fulfilling unnecessary obligations.

Visualize abundance

Visualizing abundance isn’t a bad thing at all. For a moment, sit down and think what would you do if you had an abundance of wealth. Where would you spend it? Would you start a business of your own, would you go on a world tour or buy a bigger house?

Dream about how life would be if you had all that money.

You can write down all of that on a piece of paper and mention all of those areas of life that are already abundant. This simple visualization can help you transition into the abundance mindset, making you believe that you have more of everything.

Take small steps to build abundance

While many are inclined to associate the term abundance with a bank account number or a luxurious house, abundance is a feeling. It is a feeling that can mean anything to you. It can be freedom or generosity or anything that you can link the feeling to.

Once you’ve figured out what exactly it means, you’ll be ready to take small steps towards cultivating abundance in your life. For example, you might find out that abundance is spending time with your family, or reading a good book, or practicing meditation. This visualization will upgrade your money mindset, align your thoughts, and manifest your desires.

Focus on your budget

One of the major reasons you feel comfortable with debt or the supposed fact that you can’t earn more than what you do is avoidance. Spending money is too easy. Thinking that life is nothing less than being a subscription, thriving upon automated payments and direct deposits is also very easy.

But it is not correct.

You have just adopted a mindset that tells you that controlling your budget is not in your control.

But it is.

You can make sophisticated decisions with your budget if you look at it responsibly. You just have to calculate what you earn, subtract your spendings, and see if the balance is positive. Even if it’s negative, you need to budget your budget to bring it back to a positive. It’s not about control; it’s about being stuck. Move yourself to make ends meet.

Be content

It is by far the simplest way of shifting yourself towards a positive money mindset. The more we stay grateful for the things around us, the more abundance we recognize in our life. You can do this by beginning your day by being grateful. I like to lay back in one of these comfy Sunnydaze Hammocks and think about all that I’m grateful for each morning and evening.

You can also write down three things that you’re grateful for every day. The feeling of being more thankful enables you to find good in everything around you.

Think about the things that you own, and you can’t imagine your life without them. Think that you own the financial capability of buying them and blessing yourself with happiness. Be grateful to the universe for all the provisions.

Avoid negativity

Comparisons that can be harmful but at the same time motivating. It all depends upon how you look at a certain thing that sets your money mindset. Comparing your financial situation to a friend or cousin of yours, seeing how much they have accomplished in life can give you a feeling of not being capable enough, of being defeated, of being left behind.

You might start listing down reasons in your head why you’re not in the position your friend is at this point.

The primary reason being that you don’t have enough money, which leads to negativity and demoralizing spirits.

But is it the only way to view a particular situation?

No.

You can also look at your friend accomplishing highly in life and be inspired by their resilience and fortitude. You can uplift yourself by reminding yourself that you can reach those heights too. And that is all it takes to transition to a positive money mindset.

Mindset is powerful, and it all depends on how you perceive your fiscal situation to set yourself on a positive track. The points above-mentioned can help you transform your money mindset into a healthier and more productive one.

Exercise has to be one of the most beneficial acts for your health and wellbeing. It can help regulate your mood, boost your energy levels, assist in better sleep, prevent chronic diseases, and so much more.

With the variety of benefits that it can reap for you, there hardly remains a doubt on it not being able to play a role in self-improvement.

We all have our shares of bad habits. Evaluate yours and determine yourself to quit them from today. It can be smoking, drinking, procrastinating, or anything that you know is unhealthy. Break the loop and replace them with some good ones.

Meditate

There’d be hardly anyone out there who’d tell you meditation doesn’t help. It soothes you, improves your mental health, allows you to be more productive, and exhibit kindness during the day. When you are calmer on the inside, it’ll reflect on the outside.

When trying to improve yourself, meditation has to be a must. It helps you distinguish between growth vs fixed mindset with its unlimited boons.

Seek Counseling

For a growth mindset, counseling can be a fantastic technique to help you improve. Therapy is not only for people who feel that their life is on the brink of falling apart but for everyone.

The Pros and Cons of Quitting Social Media

Some people aren’t bothered by social media. They can spend hours on social media and never feel overwhelmed, stressed, or out of sorts. Other people may feel overwhelmed, stressed out, and see a decline in their mental health within an hour of being on social media.

If you’re someone who is experiencing negative emotions from the prolonged use of social media then you may want to continue reading. Today I’m sharing some of the pros and cons of quitting social media so that you can choose to live happier and healthier with fewer online engagements.

Cons of Quitting Social Media

Below are just some of the disadvantages that you experience when you quit social media or commit to a short-term social media detox.

Increased Fear of Missing Out (FOMO)

No matter how hard you try, it seems social media is the place that friends and family post their latest news. You can try to stay in touch with long-distance connections via phone calls or text messages, but the news will be few and far between.

This means you’ll have to get comfortable with embracing the concept that you may not hear about a birth announcement, engagement, or something news from those who live further away when you quit social media.

Fewer Networking Opportunities

If you run a business or most of your networking requires marketing on the internet for your business, and you decide to quit social media, then you may have fewer networking opportunities. You’ll have to resort to different methods of engagement and advertising for your business.

This means you’ll miss out on the instant reward that networking for business on social media provides. You can gain business through other outlets, but social media has begun to take over the major parts of business networking and advertising as of late.

Pros of Quitting Social Media

There are a few pros of quitting social media that may just entice you to complete a social media detox or quit it altogether.

Get Better Sleep

Most of us spend far too many hours on our cell phones. You probably look at your phone before you go to bed. The phone is probably the first thing you look at when you wake up. This addiction to screens and social media has disrupted our natural sleep patterns. Don’t forget to grab your CBD Pillow – Add to Cart to maximum sleep while detoxing from social media.

When you quit social media you’ll have fewer reasons to peek at your cell phone before bed. This means your eyes and brain will be relaxed, ready to slip into a deep slumber when you quit social media!

Start to Feel More Confident

Whether you realize it, or not, social media plays a toll on our self-esteem. When you share something on social media and receive little to no reactions or comments, you may start to feel like you don’t matter. This can destroy your self-confidence one little piece at a time until you start to feel irrelevant.

Quitting social media will provide you with a chance to feel more confident. You’ll be enjoying your real life outside of the internet and engaging in real-life connections that boost your self-confidence higher than any social media post would do.

How to Quit Social Media

As a freelance writer and entrepreneur, social media is a huge part of my business world. Quitting social media for good is not a reasonable option for me. I can, however, quit social media for “fun”. I’ve started to slowly refrain from sharing too much of my personal life on social media and limited the time I spend scrolling the newsfeeds.

Removing the apps from your smartphone will be a great start to detoxing yourself from social media. You may eventually quit social media for good on the personal side and only post on your business page once you see all of the benefits that come from quitting social media.

If you’re uncertain about quitting social media for good, I invite you to take just two weeks off from the internet as a whole. Schedule your work out. Schedule the social media updates for your business. Uninstall the social media apps from your phone and make a schedule of things to do during this two-week social media detox.

Write down how you feel at the start, middle, and end of this time quitting social media. Evaluate how you feel and determine if quitting social media is something that makes sense for you. If you feel that your time away from social media has improved your mental health and relationship with the people closest to you, then perhaps it’s time to consider quitting social media for good.

Setting Self Growth Plans

There are many ways to decide on what self growth plans you’ll focus on this year. Planning on this form of personal improvement is all about focusing on values, reflection, goals, and other areas of personal development such as your career and relationships.

Where can you start with Self Growth Plans?

We’ve found the most successful people who master self growth start their personal development path by listening to people close to them. Pay close attention to what your loved ones say or ask of you during the day.

Some exmaples of self growth ideas that may come from household members, include;

  • “You always beat down my ideas when I have them. I can’t share ideas with you anymore because you just don’t listen.”
  • “Mom you’re always on your phone when we’re supposed to be watching a movie together!”
  • “Dad you work so much and when you’re home all you do is sit at your computer.”
  • “Hunny, I feel like you’re just not present when I’m talking. Your body language shows me you’re not interested in what I’m saying and so I shut down and start to become bitter.”

How to Use Self Growth Feedback

Some of the above statements about self growth may be overlooked by a fixed mindset person. You may not be open to wanting to grow, and that’s okay.

We are all allowed to grow or stand sill as we see fit.

If you’re someone with a growth mindset who wants to work on personal improvement and master being a better version of yourself today than you were yesterday, then you need to hear what your loved ones are saying.

Here is what we hear when a loved one says the above statements;

  • “I don’t feel valued in this relationship because we always have to go with your ideas. My ideas don’t ever seem good enough and you don’t listen to them anyway so why should I share them.”
  • “Mom, please stop ignoring our time together. This quality time matters to me so you being on your phone upsets me and makes me feel less important.”
  • “Dad, I don’t feel like us kids matter to you because you just work all week and then sit like a zombie in front of the computer never interacting with us when you’re home.”
  • “My love, I don’t feel like this relationship is working unless we change the way we communicate. Body language is shouting that you’re simply not connecting with me and that pushes me away. We need to fix this or walk away from this.”

As you can see the above four checkpoints that we first shared can be translated into a self growth opportunity. These icon bullet points can lead to a pretty negative outcome regarding a relationship with your loved one, kids, and household in general if you don’t find a way to work on personal development.

Making the Promise to Work on Self Growth

Based on many years of watching and working with others, we have found that the promise to work on self growth must be made by the individual to the individual.

  • Most personal development only happens when the individual desires a change and something better in their life.

Start listening to what people around you are saying or doing. Do you recognize their body language saying something that their lips aren’t saying? This is something many intuitive and empathetic people notice right away!

Learn to watch for cues that your closest family and friends share about you. These are the people who want the best for you, no matter what, so they’re the best people to look to for personal improvement ideas.

You can make notes of what your family and friends say throughout the day, or just ask each of them what they feel you need some improvement on. They may say some things that hurt, but pause before reacting! These people are being open with you so that you can learn what self growth plans to make for this year!

These people are not trying to hurt or upset you! They are answering the question honestly based on their perception to better help you grow. Please refrain from asking people on social media these questions.

Those who are connected with you online only know a small portion of who you are and what you can be. This type of personal improvement self growth work must be completed based on people’s feedback of those who know you to your core!

Conclusion on Self Growth Plans

Now that you have evaluated what other people have said or share for information on what they feel you need to work on for self growth, it’s time to make a promise to yourself.

Figure out what you want to focus on this year, write down a promise that you will work on whatever self growth goals you have.

Something as simple as, “I promise myself that I will be better at listening to my family when they speak and truly hear what they have to say” is a great promise to start with.

Make a promise to yourself that you will achieve great success with your self growth plans this year, by writing an affirmative promise on paper and then start reading all the books on personal development topics, and use postiive affirmations to train your subconscious mind during this process.

We end with this question today;

What helps you be more aware of what areas you should work on for self growth?

Common myth: Budgets are for people in debt

First of all, budgeting is not for people in debt, but for any person who wishes to stabilize their finances and avoid debt. If you’re merely balancing your checkbook, that’s still not as good as budgeting because the checkbook cannot prepare you for unexpected expenses. Budgets, on the other hand, can. You cannot control events like sudden repairs or health trouble, but you can manage your money. Don’t let it control you.

Since we’ve covered the widespread myths, it’s time to go over the crucial steps of creating your budget.

Steps to create a household budget

  • The first thing you will have to do is identify your essential goals.
  • Secondly, you will have to rank your monthly spending from necessary to trivial.
  • Your third step should be adding your net income and subtracting expenses.
  • The fourth step will consist of adjusting your planned expenses and considering additional income if necessary.
  • Final step – adjusting your planned expenses and considering additional income if necessary.

Identifying your goals is the basis for your budget

If you want to make your budget work, you have to tie it to your personal goals. Those should include the purchases you want to make when you want to buy them and how much money you will need to make it happen (both total amount and the monthly rate).

Pro tip: Sharing your plans regarding the budget with someone else is brilliant because it exponentially increases your likelihood of achieving your goals.

Prioritize your expenses

Your goal-setting process will be completed once you prioritize your expected expenses into the spending groups.

Must have’s: The priority expenses that you need to pay before any others. Those include your rent or mortgage, electricity, water, sewer, and trash expenses, as well as food and clothing. Make sure to have emergency savings into your must-have priorities in the budget. You could need them in case of medical emergencies or job loss.

Critical needs: Include cell phone and internet services, childcare, debt payments, transportation, insurance, maintenance… Think about where you can save some of your hard-earned money. If you live relatively close to your workplace, consider riding a bike instead of driving to work. It’s much cheaper and no less important, much more sustainable.

Lifestyle decisions: These include your daily choices such as eating out, drinking fancy coffee, going to the movies, purchasing a piece of nice clothing, or getting Netflix, for example. To cut back on some of these wants means a lifestyle change, which is why some people refrain from creating a budget. However, cutting back on such spending will get you to your set goals.

Trivial wishes: Those are basically anything you want but can do without, including long-term desires.

Prioritizing your expenses is vital because it shows you which costs are fundamental and essential and which can wait. Building a rational structure will help you steer clear of emotionally driven purchases.

Track your expenses

Grab a calculator and calculate your expenses before you estimate your net income. This approach will help you make rational decisions about your spending, which will lead to better outcomes for you.

Create spending categories for regular bills in your budget, and then add the expected payments that you will need to make. When it comes to variable expenses, do your best to estimate your monthly purchases in that category. Make sure to take seasonal factors and holidays, birthdays, and other factors into account.

Record your income

Write down your expected monthly income using your net income. How to Create a Family Budget that Works ebook will help you with all of these steps! No stressing. No worries.

Subtract planned spending from projected income

After you estimate your future expenses and income, subtract your planned purchases from your payment. The strategy is simple; a figure above $0 is living beneath your means, whereas a figure near $0 means you expect to live within your means. If you get a resulting figure below $0, that means you wish to live beyond your means.

To build your savings and investments, you should, of course, live below your means. It’s only logical. If you find you’re living beyond your means, you don’t necessarily have to cut back on some of your expenses. Instead, you could consider increasing your income by seeking a better paying or a side job.

Plan according to your weak spots and budget

If you happen to find yourself faced with a negative projected balanced budget, don’t make a common mistake of an immediate cut of expenses. Instead, take some time to find an effective way to balance out your household budget. Adjusting your spending is a solid way to go, but in the meantime, look for other ways to increase your income.

Conclusion

If you find yourself in over your head regularly when it comes to paying for your life needs and wants, you should revisit your priorities and expenses. If you’re living beyond your means for housing, transportation, or communication, think about what you can change to unburden your budget.

We end with this question today;

Do you have a family budget?

The first step towards change, with anything, requires that you acknowledge the problem exists. In this case, you’ll need to notice that you are procrastinating and acknowledge it. Do not beat yourself up with negative self-talk, rather just admit this is happening.

What you need to do each time you acknowledge that you’re procrastinating is say a phrase that triggers you to realize what you’re doing. You can say “procrastinating” or “moving on” to help get your mind moving forward away from your learned habit of procrastination.

Figure Out Where Your Time Goes

We all have the same 24 hours in a day to get things done. Everyone uses different things to fill their time. To improve your productivity, you’ll need to identify the areas where you’re wasting time. Start making a note of what you do each day, the time, and so forth. I used the clockify desktop timing app to narrow down where I’m spending my time each day during this step.

Once I was able to see where my time was truly going, I was better able to narrow down the work hours, and remove time wasters to increase productivity. Digital distractions, such as your smartphone, are one of the biggest temptations we all have.

I put my smartphone on vibrate and used Kill News Feed in Chrome (extension) to reduce my distractions until I mastered time management. This helped so much!! I cannot stress enough how useful this extension was for my productivity levels.

  • Make another promise to yourself that you will find a way to remove the activities that are “wasted time” items on your Clockify list.

Make Time Your Best Friend

As I said, I used Clockify to really narrow down the time that I spent on every activity during the day. I tracked clients I write for, blogging time for my own sites, the time it takes to check email, networking on social, and so forth.

In order to manage your time for increased productivity, you’re going to have to be honest with how you spend every moment in the day. For activities that go beyond the computer, just keep a small notepad that you jot down the time involved with each activity you do.

Yes, this part was a little difficult. I mean I was wasting time in so many different areas that it took away from work and family time. Again, do not stress out or beat yourself up about this, simply become aware of how long each task takes you, so you can make time your best friend!

Improve Your Time Estimates

This brings me to my next productivity hack, improve your time estimates. Now that you’ve tracked how long each task takes you, it’s time to improve your estimated time per project or activity. This is where the fun comes in, sort of!

Now that you know how long something takes you to complete, you can get a better idea of what to charge for your various projects or tasks you complete for others.

You can get a feel for when your workday should end and set a goal to get your workday manageable so that you have more time to do the things you love!

Meet More Deadlines

Now that you’ve worked with each of these productivity hacks, it’s time to start meeting those deadlines. You will no longer have to create excuses for why a project isn’t done on time or why you didn’t run that errand you were supposed to do.

Once you start making time your best friend, your entire world changes for the better. You’ll feel more confident, carefree, and peaceful in your life as soon as you use the hacks I shared today to the fullest extent!

Even people who have lived their whole life being procrastinators can harness the power of time management. You must take each of these productivity hacks and implement them into your life for a few weeks. if you find that you start drifting back into procrastination mode, start over.

Listen, the road to great success is long, and not a single soul here is perfect. Keep working on this one day at a time, and within a few months, you will find that you’re more productive and rarely find procrastination enters your life!

I end with this question today;

Do you struggle with procrastination?

My Journey to Great Success

My Journey to Great Success

Hey everyone! Brandy Ellen here. I’m ready to share some of my experiences in life that led me to great success. This journey has had twists and turns, ups and downs, tears, and smiles. I’ve cried and laughed, I’ve laughed so hard I cried, but here I am with the confidence to say that I’ve achieved great success!

Food in the Home Great Success

I understand that we all define great success in different ways. My first experience of feeling as if “I made it” was when, after years of struggling, my children finally had a full freezer, fridge, and cupboards of food. Some processed foods, some fresh, but food nonetheless!

  • To me, having food in the home to supply the children with their needs in this area made me feel like a great success!

That was probably my first set of tears that flowed from my eyes down my cheeks in 2020. Finally! The kids had a steady food supply without having state assistance. Yes, I’ve been on state assistance at various times in my life, both cash and food stamps.

I’ve had to stay with my parents more than once, and I’ve been homeless. Life wasn’t ever “easy” for me, and it’s not “easy” now, nor do I expect life to ever be “easy”.

  • Here’s the thing; life isn’t meant to be easy, it’s meant to help you grow stronger, wiser, and more well-rounded as each new chapter arrives.

It may sound funny to some of you out there, that this positive thinking freelance writer, felt most successful when she provided FOOD for her kids. That’s okay, I’m confident with the way I define success and my individual story of great success.

Great Success in Relationships

Another area where I define something as part of my great success story is being reunited with my sons’ father. We divorced when our youngest of two boys was around age 2. While we’ve always been amicable, and perhaps many issues derived from having two babies in two years, us reuniting in late 2019 is for sure part of what I feel is a great success.

Learning to spend time listening to someone, communicating effectively with them, and then having that ah-ha moment that ‘wait we should be together’ thought is such an amazing experience.

We both were at a time in our life where we saw the value of the friendship we’ve always had, the sons we shared, and each other. When you can pause all the emotions of the past, to live in this one moment, and truly feel what’s right and act on it? That’s a great success!

  • When you’re married or in a relationship with someone who values your opinon, listens to your thoughts, and truly cares about you it’s worth more than any amount of money.

To me, great success is not defined in terms of financial gain. Great success is defined as the ability to grow from the not-so-wise younger version of yourself into a mature, open-minded, well-rounded individual.

Great Success with Business

While I don’t define great success in terms of finances alone, it is a significant part of my great success story. Lack of money is what led my ex and me back together; we were both homeless (for different financial reasons) with our sons together before committing to take friendship to the relationship level, again.

Managing money better is what led to the great success of having food in our home. So, finances do play a key role in my great success story. I just don’t feel it’s the defining part of my story.

I got lost along the journey to great success. I had these goals ready to achieve, and in walked someone who didn’t belong in that journey (more than once). I didn’t set healthy boundaries with others. I just let life pass me by as I tried to figure out the best direction after each mishap.

  • I’ve always known in my soul that you will have great success in business if you follow your heart, stay true to who you are, and help others along the way rather than focusing on “I need to make money now”.

The only reason that I sit here today sharing my story is that, with the help of my supportive community around me, I kept on going. I didn’t resort to negative self-talk, bashing others, or looking outward to blame something or someone for my mishaps.

Each time I allowed someone or something to interrupt my path to my goals, I looked inward to learn more about myself. I wanted to know, needed to know, the root problem for my mishaps. I will continue using my growth mindset to evaluate and adjust as each new chapter arrives.

No matter how often I get taken off course, or what happens in my life, I’ve continuously helped others, let others vent to me, lent support, and advice. I do these things because they matter more deeply to me than the amount of money in my bank account.

  • I have always stayed true to what my true mission in life is; to inspire others to live their best life!

This, my friends, is my true great success story. Being blessed to help others in any way I can. Whether it’s donating funds to help with groceries or a new baby on the way, helping them with a minor blog problem, or lending my ear for listening;

the biggest reasons I stand here today with food in the home, a roof over my head, an amazing partner, and a successful business is that I stayed true to who I am and I never gave up.

I can’t help but pour my heart out with how much a growth mindset can help you overcome so many challenges that life tosses at you. If you truly have a dream to be your own boss, and you want to change the world, you can do it!

A growth mindset is what alters my perspective of situations that happen to me. I allow myself to feel the grief, sadness, or anger but move on as soon as that process is over. I remove the emotion from the story, adjust my sails, and handle what I can handle today to achieve my great success story.

My story isn’t over yet, it is something that I will continuously work on throughout my entire life, but as of this moment? I am pretty confident in saying that my great success story has expanded enough that I’m now better able to help others get through those mishaps so that they can learn to harness the growth mindset and do great things in their life.

I end with this question today;

Do you feel like your life has been a great success overall? Why or why not? Also, is there something I can try to help you with?

Why is Growth Mindset Important?

To achieve great success you must engage in the process of personal growth at all times. When thinking about what impacts your success or failure most, the highest achievers in this world say that your mindset is what matters most.

What you believe about yourself can significantly impact your success or failure. People who believe their abilities can be improved through dedication and hard work will typically move ahead and take action without excuses.

Those that demonstrate an open mind, and a willingness to learn have quite often been seen as some of the most successful people in the world. Knowing more about mindsets, how they’re formed, and what you can do to change your mindset for great success is just the beginning steps of achieving all that you desire in life, business, and love.

How Mindsets Are Formed

From the time that human beings arrived on Earth, they have thought, acted, and fared differently from each other. Common sense tells me that our differences have more to do with the variances in our backgrounds, learning experiences, and training than anything else.

You’ll find that internal variables like genetic makeup also have a part to play alongside external variables like backgrounds, experiences, and training with how each person lives their life and what they believe.

Types Of Mindsets

There are different types of mindsets that will help you fail or achieve great success. Those type of mindsets include:

  • Abundance Mindset vs Scarcity Mindset
  • Productive Mindset vs Defensive Mindset
  • Fixed Mindset vs Growth Mindset

You can learn more about the types of mindsets, and how to adjust your mindset for great success in our Growth Mindset Ebook.

Why is Mindset Important?

Mindset can work in two ways; it can open doors for you but also provide serious limitations based on your beliefs and approach in different scenarios. This means mindset plays a significant role in helping you spot opportunities.

Mindsets can just as equally trap you in self-defeating cycles, what I like to call limiting beliefs. The stories you tell yourself, and what you think about yourself play a huge role in your success or failure.

Importance Of Mindset In Life

Having the right mindset is an essential requirement for great success. Whether you’re a teacher, entrepreneur, student, parent, or any other person in this world, you need to have the right mindset to be great at what you do.

Each profession comes with its own obstacles and unpredictable situations that having a positive mindset allows you to overcome. A growth mindset individual will see these new obstacles as welcomed challenges and an opportunity to grow or learn.

Mindsets Are More Than Beliefs

While it’s easy to confuse a mindset with beliefs, they are not one and the same. Mindsets have the ability to dictate your reactions to situations and other things in life. Mindset helps you frame situations differently by transforming your cognitive functions.

At the same time, your mindset will help direct your attention to the most essential cues while filtering out irrelevant information so that you’re not as overwhelmed. A growth mindset helps direct yourself towards sensible goals that give you a solid sense of direction.

Essentially, your mindset is habitual and it will define what you are and who you’re capable of becoming. This is why I’m a huge advocate for the growth mindset, and why I just had to share our team’s Growth Mindset Ebook.

I truly believe if you can retrain your thoughts that you can achieve great success (because I’ve done it and continue to do it)!

How Mindsets Are Formed

Now that you understand a little more about mindsets, you’re probably wondering how mindsets are formed. There is much research that suggests variations in the reasoning behind one’s mindset, but I believe it has a lot to do with genetic makeup, experiences, education, and upbringing.

As we grow older and mature, we find that our mindset changes. The belief patterns we once thought made sense, no longer fit with the current patterns of society. People with growth mindsets experience this change stronger than those with a fixed mindset.

Like me, as I grow older and experience new things, more education, and witness more in society, my mindset changes about topics, behaviors, and people in general.

As I continue to work on developing my skills and using the knowledge I have to grow and learn; my growth mindset gets stronger because I’m repetitively practicing my belief that you’re never too old to learn something new!

The Emotion Factor

While repetition of your new mindset patterns is important, it’s not the only factor that comes into play with the creation of new habits and beliefs. There’s an emotional factor involved with mindset training.

Emotions can be helpful and harmful during the process of achieving great success. That’s why I highly recommend you read my other article on site called “Mindsets that Lead to Low Self-Confidence and How to Change Them“. In that article, I discuss the thoughts we tell ourselves and tips to diminish negative beliefs and thought patterns to improve your life.

The thing is that repetition is a key factor for mindset training, but associating a positive emotion with this newly learned thought pattern means you have a higher chance for long-term success.

Final Thoughts on Growth Mindset

This is the opinion of myself, not necessarily the entire team here at Learn Grow Master, although I did create this site with a team of like-minded individuals so I’m confident they will feel similarly.

I firmly believe that the biggest reason for my successes was a combination of continuously practicing my mindset training and associate an emotion with each newly learned habit.

Even when I felt completely numbed out by a horrible situation (or two or three) in life, I remained steadfast in believing that everything in my life happens to teach me something new.

This may be something new about myself, another person, society, or something else, but I firmly believe every challenge and obstacle that gets tossed my way is another chance for me to use my growth mindset to expand my current knowledge and come out on the other side stronger, wiser, and ready to tackle anything else life decides to toss my way.

I want this feeling for everyone out there, but I do understand I have connections with fixed mindset people as well as growth mindset people. If this isn’t your cup of tea, then I respect that, but if any part of you has this little desire to learn more, then please go grab The Growth Mindset ebook and dive right in.

Take one small actionable step each day towards resetting your mind and creating new habits to achieve great success in all areas of your life.

I end with this question today;

Do you believe that mindset can help you achieve great success? Why or why not?
